Objective To investigate the prevalence of asthma and its related factors among children aged 0-14 years in Liaoning Province. Methods Cluster random sampling was used. Results A total of 20,075 children aged 0-14 years in Shenyang and Dalian were investigated, and 241 children with asthma were found, with a prevalence rate of 1.20%, including 175 children with asthma (72.6%), 21 infants with asthma (8.7%), 20 cough variant asthma (8.3%), and 25 suspected asthma (10.4%). A total of 196 children with asthma and infants with asthma were found, with a prevalence rate of 0.98%. The prevalence rate of asthma among children in Shenyang was 0.7 6% in Dalian, 0.82% in Dalian, 1.50% in male and 0.90% in female, with significant difference between them. 74.3% of patients developed the disease within 3 years of age. The most common seasons were irregular and changing seasons, the most common time was midnight, and the main causes of the attacks were colds and weather changes. 82.2% had a personal allergy history, and 15.8% and 26.9% of first- and second-degree relatives had a history of asthma, respectively. The treatment was mainly oral bronchodilators and intravenous hormones, and inhalation therapy accounted for only 34.4%. Conclusion The prevalence of childhood asthma has increased significantly. Attention should be paid to avoiding factors that induce asthma attacks, and the promotion and popularization of inhalation therapy for asthma should be strengthened
