Short-term efficacy of behavioral therapy for tics in children

Abstract

 There were 51 cases of tics. 26 cases treated by behavioral therapy includ- ing relaxasion therapy, aversion therapy and drug benadry1. 25 cases treated by drugs such as haldol and atrane. All cases were followed up for two months. According to statistics, the short term effect of these two kinds of therapy showed no significant difference. But the behavioral therapy had good effect in cases of which caused by stress or anxiety. Besides, in this article, the mechanism of the behavioral therapy was also discussed.
