Keywords:
rooming-in; breastfeedingAbstract
This article summarizes the 508 live births in the obstetrics department of our hospital from July 4 to October 4, 1994. The newborns were roomed with their mothers. Except for one case with congenital esophageal atresia, all the others were breastfed. Among them, they were exclusively breastfed. There were 506 cases of feeding, 1 case of moderate breastfeeding and 0 cases of symbolic breastfeeding; the weight increased to varying degrees during hospitalization. Compared with the disease situation of hospitalized newborns (maternal and infant division) in the same period in 1993, there was a significant decrease. Therefore, we must vigorously promote mother-infant rooming-in and breastfeeding
