Analysis of 11 cases of breast milk jaundice

Abstract

 Breast milk jaundice is jaundice caused by breastfeeding. With the improvement of understanding, clinical discovery of breast milk jaundice is not uncommon. The follow-up situation of 11 cases of newborns with breast milk jaundice is discussed and analyzed as follows: 1. Materials and methods 1.1 General situation There were 7 males and 4 females, all full-term mature infants. The lowest birth weight was 2900g and the highest was 3650g. 1.2 Diagnostic criteria: Full-term mature infants develop jaundice within 3 to 8 days and persist for more than 2 weeks. Growth and development are normal, and mental response is good. Alanine aminotransferase is normal and other pathological jaundice is excluded. The natural course of the disease is 1 to 3 months if breastfeeding is continued. Breastfeeding is suspended. The jaundice can subside naturally without sequelae.
