Abstract

Body weight is very sensitive in assessing nutritional and health status in infancy. However, cross-sectional studies, mixed longitudinal studies or longitudinal studies with long intervals are difficult to assess this change in individual children in a timely manner. This article uses the monthly weight gain and growth monitoring method to evaluate the nutritional and health status of children in this area. 1 Materials and Methods This data comes from a total of 556 "Wuxi County Infant Health Cards" that were born in Xizhang Town, Wuxi County from January 1, 1988 to August 31, 1989, whose growth has been monitored for three years, and which have been accepted by the County Maternal and Child Health Center.
