Abstract

From a eugenic perspective, in order to reduce the incidence of sick and disabled children, we must not only do a good job in genetic work, but also pay attention to the rescue and prevention of neonatal asphyxia. To this end, we held training courses to improve neonatal asphyxia resuscitation techniques throughout the province in 1992. The article introduces the training methods and content. In order to understand the training effect, 10 units were randomly sampled and comparative observations were made on the incidence of asphyxia and mortality before and after training. It was found that the reduction in asphyxia rate accounted for 1/3 of the units, with a decrease range of 1.7-13%, and the reduction of asphyxia mortality accounted for 8/9 units, with a decrease range of 1.19-7.2%, and the effect was obvious. The article discusses that if all units can conscientiously implement the five principles of successful resuscitation in the future, there will be a profound improvement in the work on asphyxia.
